Recall response as a management-system skill

  • Identify the recalled product and stop service immediately, including food already plated.

  • Segregate and label the product so it cannot be reintroduced by mistake.

  • Follow the recall notice: return, destroy, or hold according to the notice instructions.

  • Document what was on hand, what was served, and what was removed.

  • Notify the supplier and the regulatory authority when required.
