Single-Use Gloves
Gloves are a barrier, not a substitute for handwashing. The exam tests them through the moments when a change is required.
Key points:
Wash hands before putting gloves on and after taking them off.
Change gloves when they are soiled or torn, and whenever you change tasks.
Change gloves after handling raw meat and before touching ready-to-eat food.
Never wash and reuse single-use gloves, and never wear them outside the prep area.
Managers get these items wrong when they answer from habit instead of from the rule. Read the number, then connect it to the task.
